Job Description

General Function

A Senior PathFinder facilitates the interaction between admitted students, the Pace PathFinders and Pace University by serving as a role model for all Pace PathFinders. The Senior PathFinders will be responsible for planning, hosting, and facilitiating ice breakers and activities during any scheduled overnight events, PathFinder trainings, and PathFinder meetings. This position will allow Senior PathFinders the ability to develop the transferable skills that will be beneficial in any future employment.

 

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

 

Academic

At the time of application, the candidate must be a full time student and be in good academic standing with the university.

 

Residential

Prior to application, the applicant must reside in one of the four residence halls located at the NYC campus. Students who have served as a Pace PathFinder or host before are extremely encouraged to apply.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants must show familiarity with Pace resources, services, and campus buildings, pride in Pace and being a Pace students, ability to uphold all aspects of the Pace Student Code of Conduct, a desire to work collaboratively with prospective students, their families, faculty, and staff, a willingness to learn.

 

Applicants must possess the following role model qualities: maturity, responsibility, initiative, motivation, dedication, flexibility, enthusiasm, integrity, and good work ethic. Applicants must exhibit leadership potential, exhibit good interpersonal communication skills and be able to interact with a variety of types of people.

 

Required Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Attend, participate, and run various staff meetings and trainings throughout the school year.

  • Plan and host events and icebreakers with team members.

  • Be available to host admitted students on a scheduled basis.

  • Attend scheduled one-on-one meetings with supervising OHRL member.

  • Perform other tasks as required.
